Q: Do you offer in-person consultations?
In addition to the audio/video samples available on my website, I very much enjoy meeting all of my clients in person, answering their questions, introducing my music and services to them, and most importantly, getting to know each other.

A no-obligation consultation is offered at no charge should you be interested. Please contact me for an appointment. I also provide consultations via phone if an in-person appointment is not convenient for you.

Q: Do you accept music requests?
Yes, I do welcome special requests at no additional charge. I would also like to mention that the music listed on my website is only a partial accounting of my full repertoire.

* Please note that some music may be unavailable as sheet music, or may not be playable as a solo instrument. Please contact me with your questions about special requests for more information.

Q: Do you exclusively perform classical music?
Not at all, I greatly enjoy performing a wide variety of genres ranging from Classical to Celtic, Early to Contemporary, and more!

Q: Do you offer additional instrumental accompaniment?
Yes! Duet with violin, flute, cello or vocal can be arranged for an additional fee. Please inquire for more information.

Q: My venue features another musician, are you able to work with this arrangement?
Of course! I am quite familiar with incorporating my services to complement additional musicians at various venues. For example; church and chapel organists, bagpipers at memorial services, and many more.

Q: Will your harp produce enough volume to suit my venue?
While the harp produces a less intrusive sound than say the brass, or the percussion instruments, a qualified harpist can invoke a great level of volume from this enchanting instrument to create a soothing and magical atmosphere.

I was once asked to perform at a wedding reception in the backyard of a private residence. As the evening darkened, some guests had trouble finding the right house! However, at the end of the evening many guests approached me with words of thanks. They said that they simply followed the sound of my playing even from far away!

Recently, I performed at an Anniversary reception of over 200 people. It was at a spacious venue with a very talkative crowd. However, I was pleasantly surprised by enthusiastic clapping throughout the night! The client approached me at the end of the evening and asked me if my acoustic harp was amplified. He was very pleased with how my playing came out so clearly, yet not in a distracting way, so that his guests were able to talk with each other and enjoy the music simultaneously.

Both of my harps are built by the most reputable makers and are of the highest quality to assure the most desirable acoustic setting. In contrast, the harp is also capable of producing a gentle quietude when the situation calls for it.

Q: What kind of harp do you play and how large is your harp?
I provide my clients two choices of harp:

Concert harp: 75 1/4" tall, 39 3/4" wide, 85 lbs.
Celtic harp: 49.5” tall, 14.5” wide, 22 lbs.

Both of my harps are built by the most reputable makers and are of the highest quality to assure the most desirable acoustic setting. For pictures and additional information: The Harps.

Q: What is the maximum amount of time I may engage your services?
Four (4) hours. 10 minute breaks are required hourly to rest my hands. I can time these breaks to coincide with speeches, presentations, and other reprieves which do not call for music during my engagement.

Q. Do you perform at outdoor venues?
Yes, although with two necessary conditions:

Because direct sunlight and rain will permanently damage the harp, I kindly request to be placed in a well shaded, sheltered area. Most event coordinators are accustomed to this request and are prepared to fit the need, often in the form of a freestanding tent that matches the color scheme of the occasion.

I also require level, stable ground upon which to perform.

Q: Do we need to worry about transporting and setting up the harp?
Not at all. This form of labour and transportation is all included in each of my packages and is undertaken by myself.

Q: Can the harp be moved to different rooms throughout my event?
Of course, that can be easily done by myself and is included in the packages I offer.

Q: How long have you been performing professionally?
I have been professionally performing for over eight years. I have performed across the country and in the US at various venues and in different settings. I have had countless happy and returning clients!

A list of some of my previous engagements can be found here: Experience.

Q: Why should I choose you?
