Andrew shares the stage with Flautist Jennifer Langton as soloists to perform the delightful double concerto with Counterpoint Orchestra in Toronto. Program also includes Beethoven's incomparable Symphony No. 9.

Celebration Gala Concert - Tan's Fantasy for Flute and Harp with Orchestra
Chinese Artists' Society of Toronto Orchestra once again invites harpist Andrew Chan back, this time as soloist to premiere Tan's Fantasy for Flute & Harp with Orchestra with flutist Amy Lin. Concert also features Vivaldi's Concerto for two violins, and various folk tunes for Chinese ensembles. Stay tuned for Andrew's solo appearance with the orchestra in the upcoming season.

Andrew Chan takes the stage as a featured Soloist performing “Handel Harp Concerto in B Flat for Harp and Orchestra". A celebration concert of Brampton's diverse talent with guest dignitaries including Princess of Vietnam.

"Her Imperial Highness Princess Thi-Nga of Vietnam will open the 21st season of the Brampton Symphony Orchestra by presenting the first BSO Diverse Culture Award to a deserving Vietnamese musician. Performers include harpist Andrew Chan, violinist Sarah Nematallah, song stylist Toni Anderson, tenor Salvatore Gambino and soprano Iris Rodrigues. Special guest is prominent family patriarch Dr. Brian Thicke of Brampton whose sons Alan, Todd and grandson Robin Thicke are prominent in Hollywood film and music. Dr. Thicke narrates Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait. The SYMPFUSION concert features two premieres: the Canadian premiere of composer Matthew Tran-Adams’ The Refuge Child and the world premiere of BSO Conductor Robert Raines’ Healing Light Anthem. Other musical selections include Cuban Ernesto Lecuona’s Malaguena, Italian Ennnio Morricone’s Se from Cinema Paradiso, and Brazilian Heitor Villa Lobos’ Bacchianas Brasilieras. Also on the program is Summertime from Porgy and Bess, Fiddler on the Roof, Harry Belafonte’s Turn the World Around, the Handel Harp Concerto and Introduction and Rondo Capricioso for Violin. This unique festive BSO Opening Night Concert is hosted by CBC TV NewsWORLD anchor Suhana Meharchand."
