A national record of a concert featuring as many as 18 harpists playing altogether! A forest of harps; a symphony of sound; 20 dedicated students from both the Toronto and Kingston studios, carrying the theme of family ties and celebrating their love for music! Renowned Canadian harpist Erica Goodman made a special appearance, also in duets with Andrew Chan. Students gathered, performed, enjoyed and were inspired. Audience was mesmerized by a wave of stunning performances. Orchestra of Angels performed “Harp to the World” composed and conducted by Constantine Caravassilis. Recital followed by Harp Exhibition 2010 featuring Stanley & Stanley Harps.

Winter Recital 2009
The 2009 Winter Recital of the Andrew Chan Harp Studio was received enthusiastically by a full house. Students gathered and performed a memorable program at the Church of Messiah in Toronto. Highlights include the introduction of the "Harp Orchestra", premiere exhibition of harp maker Hoi Choi's two latest works "Cobra Harp" and "Ear: Audible Sculpture", and a special performance by singers Glenn Montera and Jasmine Elaine Ragual. Additionally, Andrew paid tribute to renowned harp pedagogue Alice Chalifoux (1908-2008) for her dedication towards harp education over 70 years.
After the recital, students and audience enjoyed a harp exhibition generously sponsored by Vixen Harps, and great food including delicious spring rolls sponsored by Regal Garden Chinese Restaurant. My warm thank-you to all the students, their families and friends, the audience and sponsors for their effort that made the recital such a successful event!

Winter Recital 2008
The 2008 Winter Recital of the Andrew Chan Studio (Toronto) was met with great success! Students gathered at the Church of Messiah to perform selected pieces for a very supportive audience. Highlights include a performance of Matthew Tran-Adams' composition "A Celt on the Great Wall" with the composer on erhu and Andrew on harp. And to the delight of all, two students partook in duets with their teacher. After the recital, audience and students enjoyed some great food, and the exhibition of two stunning original harps made by award-winning designer Hoi Choi.
Special thanks goes to every student for their hard work, determination, and continuing success!
