Hoi's love for music and his journey to harp making evolved upon an adventurous meeting with harpist Andrew Chan in 2006. Since then, he has designed and built 6 folk harps, each of a different style. He has
also incorporated acoustic principles of the harp into 5 of his sculptures, resulting the stunning "Twin Harp for Four Hands", "Bird Singing", "The Ear Series: Audible Sculpture 1, 2, and 3". In addition to the harps, Hoi has also built music Stands, violins, a cello, a marimba, acoustic and electric guitars, designed two pianos and most of his furniture at home! The artist continues his joy of building harps for his beloved wife, and always welcomes feedback.
